North Georgia College & State University is located in Dahlonega, GA.  Founded in 1873 the campus buildings are located around the drill field used by the ROTC students. The main administrative building, Price Memorial Hall is built on the foundations of the mint that was stablished during the gold rush years.  Its spire was gold leafed in 1973 from local gold as was the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.
