The first annual Southernmost Openhouse & Aviation Review (SOAR) event was held at the Key West International Airport on February 5, 2011. With dozens of planes on display ranging from a 1931 Stearman, a B-25H Mitchell Bomber, a 1958 Eastern Airline DC-7 to the latest modern marvels, the event had something for everyone to enjoy. And in February, there is nowhere else in the country you would rather be than in Key West.
Passengers arriving at the Key West International Airport (sorry, but there are no international flights) are greeted by a full-size painting of our Conch Republic flag.
