Crystal River Archaeological State Park consists of six pre-historic ceremonial mounds from the native Indians dating back to 200 B.C. The visitors center displays artifacts from excavations however many things still remain a mystery about these burial mounds.
The Crystal River Preserve State Park is known for its natural beauty of undisturbed islands, backwaters & forests. Over 9 miles of hiking trails and expansive grass flats to explore for paddlers makes this a relaxing park to visit.
