This Florida Panhandle trip that for us started in Key West has finally reached the western end of the state at Pensacola and as any good Jimmy Buffett fan would do, we stayed at the new Margaritaville Beach Hotel on Pensacola Beach. Situated on 800’ of gulf front beach property with 162 guest rooms, this is probably the best appointed hotel we have ever stayed at. And that’s not just Parrot Head talk either.

Yes, I know that Lulu’s at Homeport Marina is in Gulf Shores, AL which is NOT the Florida Panhandle; however, there is no way we could come this far and not visit Jimmy Buffett’s Crazy Sista’s place. Lucy Buffett established this great restaurant a few years ago on the Intercoastal Waterway and it is now famous worldwide for good food, fun and entertainment. It was necessary for us to visit Lulu’s to complete the full Buffett family weekend!
