Jim's Island Photography
My wife and I moved to Key West in 1999 and found that there is a definite change in one’s “Attitude” by living on an island rather than the mainland. Key West is the last Key in the island chain known as the Florida Keys that extend 120 miles into the Gulf of Mexico requiring 42 bridges between the islands to reach the mainland of Florida. This remoteness and its tropical climate has promoted a care-free, end-of-the-road culture and lifestyle that you can’t really understand until you visit there. After living in Key West for 13 wonderful years, my wife and I decided it was time for us to move back to the “real” world; and we now call Palm Beach Gardens, FL our home. Even though it is within the larger Palm Beach community, the “Gardens” has a small town feel that still provides us with a warm tropical climate but with the conveniences we missed in the islands. I hope that the island lifestyle we enjoyed so much will still show through in my pictures. You can contact me at: jimsphotos@bellsouth.net.
