Key West Landmarks - jimsislandphotography
This Landmark is actually just east of Key West on Sugarloaf Key. It is a bat house over 30' tall built in 1929 by Richter Perky to be home for thousands of bats in hopes of controlling the local mosquito population. But the bats never stayed, only the bat tower still remains.
